Does Steppwell make things up in my CV?

No. Steppwell builds your CV from your profile and highlights what matters in the job ad. A skill only goes in if you have it and add it yourself. You check everything before you download it.

What exactly does Steppwell do?

Steppwell uses your CV to find the best jobs for you and shows, for each one, what you bring and what you still lack. For the job you choose, it creates a cover letter and CV. With your interview coach you practise the job interview. Steppwell does not send applications in bulk. You decide where you apply.

Where do the jobs come from?

From job boards in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, updated every day. Steppwell shows you the jobs with the highest match first. You can also enter a job title and location or paste the link to a job ad.

How is the match calculated?

Steppwell puts your profile next to the job ad and compares the requirements with your skills. The result is a number from 0 to 100. You see what you bring and what you still lack. It does not predict whether you will be invited. It helps you decide where an application is worth it.

Where does the employer information come from?

Headquarters, size and founding year come from public sources such as the website and legal notice. Separately, you see what Steppwell thinks speaks for the employer and what to watch out for. That keeps facts and opinion apart.

Do the cover letter and CV sound like me?

Yes. You choose the style. Upload some of your own writing or type a few lines in the editor, and Steppwell picks up your tone.

How real is the job interview with the interview coach?

Your interview coach knows the job ad, the employer and your CV. It talks to you like someone from HR or senior management. No one knows in advance which questions will come up in the real interview, but you'll walk in well practised.
